study tour in France and Switzerland

A  six day study tour was held in France and Switzerland with the participation of UG high school students.

In Geneva, students visited CERN - the European Organization for Atomic Research, which is the world's largest laboratory in elementary particle physics. The organization is also known as the birthplace of the internet. The students took part in various activities, which were supervised by Georgian scientists-workers of the CERN CMS. The guests were also awarded physics books by CERN staff.

The group visited the Ethnographic Museum in Geneva, the Patek Philippe Museum - a museum with expensive, priceless watches, the famous Geneva Fountain - Jet d’Eau and various historical temples.

 

During the tour, students also visited the sights of Paris - one of the highest level museums in the world, famous for its unique works of art - the famous Louvre, the symbol of Paris - the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe.

As a result of the tour, they deepened their knowledge of important global issues and gained new exciting experiences.
