UG School scientific-cognitive tour in Warsaw

On January 8-13, 2019, UG  school organized a scientific-cognitive tour in Warsaw, the capital of Poland,

The tour turned out a very interesting and diverse experience for our students.

They visited one of the most developed and famous Copernicus Science Center in the world, which includes a planetarium, main exhibition space, physics and chemistry laboratories. 450 exhibits are exhibited in the halls. Most of them are interactive, our students conducted experiments, observed and passed the test.

The basic principle of Copernicus is stir up the discoverer in man and to encourage his scientific cognition by strengthening his curiosity about the world.

Some of the exhibits are original. Its authors are the staff of the Center or the scientists who won the open competition. Our students had the opportunity to personally see the "Light Zone", where it is possible to get acquainted with the laws of light, illusions and the principles of transmitting and receiving information through light.

In addition to the science tour, the adults visited the Warsaw Zoo, which boasts a huge area and a variety of creatures. The zoo is home to more than 3,000 creatures.

The group also visited the Chopin Museum, founded by the Friedrich Chopin Society in the 1930s. They started collecting photos, a library in the 1930s, and redeemed up to 13 valuable manuscripts from various owners. Since 1954, the museum has housed in Ostrogsky Palace. 2010 was Chopin's year in Warsaw. In this regard, the building has been significantly renovated.

The museum includes Chopin's original manuscripts, photographs, sculptures, letters, and competition works.

Museum visitors have a unique opportunity to sit at any computer and enjoy Chopin's creations. A visit to the museum is indefinite. Our students were present throughout the day and enjoyed listening to and viewing classical creations.

The group visited several cultural and cognitive centers during the visit, such as; Maria Skladowskaia-Curie House-Museum, Royal Palace in Warsaw, National Museum of Poland.

The project was led by Mr. Genadi Kiani, a physics teacher and Shota Tvaladze, a history teacher.
