On February 17, the School of Science and Technology with the Professional Development Center UG-PriEd held a conference of mathematics teachers at the University of Georgia.
The conference was attended by about 100 teachers of Tbilisi schools. For the participants of the event, a presentation of the 5th and 6th grade mathematics textbook was held by the professors of the University of Georgia. (authors K. Tavzarashvili, I. Noselidze, Kutkhashvili, N. Svanidze).
The seminar "Modern Methods of Teaching Mathematics" was held within the framework of the event .UG-PriEd experts n. Gaboshvili, N. Svanidze, N. Makhatadze and G. Gugulashvili led group work on the following topics:
· General causes of mathematical errors and ways to correct them using a constructivist approach
· The essence of differentiated learning and planning effective learning activities.
· Lesson planning according to the three-phase model of teaching
· Fundamentals of student-centered learning and developmental assessment.
