8th grade students of UG School implemented the project "Read Georgian". "The aim of the project was to popularize the Georgian language and literature.
"With the support of the school administration, we have prepared booklets on which to print samples of Georgian prose and poetry. Students conducted a mini-survey. The Citizens were asked questions about how often they read or knew Georgian literature. Then they handed over samples of Georgian literature. The project will help students become more interested in their native language and literature, raise their literacy level and develop civic self-awareness. At the next stage of the project, we plan to prepare videos with the active involvement of students and a series of public lectures with the participation of famous Georgian writers and philologists, "- said Eka Orgavelidze, project manager (teacher of Georgian language and literature at UG School).
