International physics research/debate tournament 2023

The 2022 tournament was held at The Science House at North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC) on Saturday and Sunday, February 5-6, 2022. UG school team took part in this tournament for the second time. The team consisted of six students; Davit Tatunashvili, Ketevan Kolbaya, Ana Arabuli, Malek Haji Afifi, Giorgi Tsaava, Salome Meladze.The USIYPT is an international physics research/debate tournament. In preparation, schools all prepare thorough investigations of the same four tournament problems. Tournament competition consists of “physics fights” in which presenters are questioned by an opposing team. The resulting conversation models the search for scientific truth as practiced at professional conferences.
