Pen Marathon almanac

At UG School, the Literary Club successfully implemented a meaningful and creative initiative: students, together with their teacher, collaboratively produced a Pen Marathon almanac.

The project aimed to develop students’ writing skills, encourage creative thinking, and deepen their interest in literature. The Pen Marathon format provided participants with the opportunity to create original pieces within a set timeframe, working across a variety of genres, including short stories, essays, poetry, and free-topic compositions.

The process was both intensive and inspiring. Students were actively engaged in individual and group work, while, under the guidance of their teacher, they progressed through key stages such as idea development, drafting, and editing. This experience offered them valuable practical insight into the writing process.

As a result, the final almanac brings together a diverse collection of student works, clearly reflecting their individual perspectives, styles, and creative potential. The publication serves not only as the culmination of the project but also as a source of motivation for other students interested in literary activities.

 

This initiative once again highlights UG School’s commitment to fostering students’ holistic development and creating an environment where each learner is empowered to express and realize their unique abilities.
