UG School students Merab Samkharashvili, Nikoloz Chechelashvili, Mate Butskhrikidze, and Vazha Tughushi became finalists in the 2026 Millennium Innovation Competition!
We are delighted to announce that UG School students Merab Samkharashvili, Nikoloz Chechelashvili, Mate Buchkhrikidze, and Vazha Tugushi have become finalists of the 2026 Millennium Innovation Competition!
At the competition, the students presented their project HPR (Homegrown Propulsion Rocket) “Eco Rocket”
The main goal of the project is to develop an environmentally safe, “green” rocket engine, test it in practice, and explore how harmful practices in the space industry can be replaced with more sustainable technologies.
To further develop their project, the team received 1,000 GEL in funding.
The students are working on the project with the support of UG School Chemistry Teacher and Project Supervisor, Ms. Irma Karalashvili. The final stage will take place
